Is Tiger ready for comeback? Shoots 62 in practice round

Fred Couples, left, and Tiger Woods smile during a practice round for the Masters golf tournament in Augusta, Ga. Couples, the Presidents Cup team co-captain, has told Woods that he decided to add him to the 12-member Presidents Cup team.

A hopeful sign as Tiger Woods returns at the Frys.com Open this week. The world's former No. 1 golfer fired a course record 62 in a practice round Friday at The Medalist, a course designed by Greg Norman, according to Yahoo Sports.

Now, practice is practice as Allen Iverson would say. But Woods shot a 29 on the back nine with 7 birdies, tweeted Tim Rosaforte of Golf World and NBC. That could make Fred Couples look good for selecting him for the Presidents Cup.

"Remember @TigerWoods shot 59 at Isleworth week before '97 Masters. Good sign for Freddie & Frys.com. His 62 at Medalist included 10 birdies," tweeted Rosaforte on Saturday.

What do you think? An omen that Woods is rounding into fighting form? Or no biggie? Weigh in below:
